Quiet Operation
Depending on the model and speed, Trade-Wind units operate across a broad sound range. Lower settings are suited to normal day-to-day use, while the higher-output settings provide the extra airflow needed during heavier cooking.
When ordered with a Hoodsly range hood, the compatible ventilation option is normally selected automatically. Use this page to review the available Trade-Wind configurations.
Trade-Wind inserts are built in the USA and are a strong match for Hoodsly wood range hoods. The lineup offers multiple blower sizes so the ventilation can be selected around the width of the hood and the cooking performance needed for the project.
Available configurations span from 390 CFM through 1,200 CFM, giving customers options for everyday residential cooking as well as higher-output ranges and larger hood sizes.

Trade-Wind inserts are offered with duct sizes matched to the blower capacity, including 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch connections. Selected 390 CFM models can also be configured for recirculating use with the appropriate non-duct kit.
Controls are built into the unit, with lighting and removable stainless baffle filters designed for straightforward everyday use and cleaning. Larger inserts add additional lighting to cover wider cooking surfaces.
Hoodsly commonly supplies Trade-Wind ventilation together with the wood hood so the components arrive as one coordinated package. Depending on the hood style and configuration, the ventilation may also be prepared with the hood before shipment.
Trade-Wind lists a three-year warranty covering parts and labor. The units are normally hard-wired, and Hoodsly notes that they can be converted to a plug-in connection without voiding the manufacturer warranty when done correctly.
