Bates supports two purchase paths: a Bates-designed project where we translate the approved design into the cabinet order, or a self-directed online order where you select and approve the exact products, quantities, finishes, and options yourself.

For Bates-designed projects, you approve the design and Bates handles the cabinet-by-cabinet translation into the order. For self-directed website purchases, you control the product list and should verify every size, quantity, finish, appliance fit, and project condition before checkout.

With Bates design service, the approved layout becomes the exact cabinet list. Self-directed buyers build and approve their own product list.
Bates verifies Bates-designed orders against the approved design. Self-directed orders are processed from the selections approved at checkout.

Design the room and identify every cabinet
For a Bates-designed project, the approved layout becomes a cabinet-by-cabinet product list. Every base, wall, tall, vanity, panel, filler, moulding, and accessory must be accounted for. Self-directed buyers should build that same level of complete product list before checkout.
Review, approve, and place the order
For a Bates-designed project, we review the cabinet list against the approved design, selections, quantities, and known project details before ordering. For a self-directed website order, the customer is responsible for reviewing and approving the exact cabinet list and project fit.
Order processing and delivery preparation
After the order is placed, the cabinetry moves into processing, preparation, and freight scheduling. Timing can vary based on the cabinet line, assembly choice, and order details.

Bates remains your point of contact for the order and delivery support. With Bates design service, we also translate and verify the approved design into the cabinet order. For self-directed website purchases, Bates processes the exact products and options you approve, but project measurements, quantities, fit, and compatibility remain your responsibility unless Bates has agreed otherwise in writing.
